Grounding Meditation Script

I want you to visualise yourself outside in a dense forest. There are large trees everywhere that surround you. You see the sunlight filtering through the trees. You feel drawn to a particular tree, you walk towards it and you sit down with your back against it. This tree must be hundreds of years old. As you sit with your back against with this tree, your energy begins to merge with the tree, you begin to feel at one with the tree and mother nature. Your feet become heavy.

Roots begin to emerge out of the soles of your feet and connect with the earth and the roots of the tree. The tree roots are that long that they extend right down to the centre of the earth. You feel your feet become heavy as they connect with the roots of the tree and travel deep into Mother Earth.

You see a ball of light in the centre of the earth and the roots wrap around this ball of light, which is the essence of Mother Earth. You begin to feel and hear the heartbeat of Mother Earth. You feel your own heartbeat begin to align with the heartbeat of Mother Earth, becoming one with Mother Earth. You feel very connected and grounded now.

You begin to draw up this earth energy, up through the roots and into your feet and body. Allow your entire body to fill with this earth energy. Your connection to Mother Earth is becoming stronger now. You will retain this connection after you leave this meditation, helping you to feel safe and grounded throughout your day. Allow the roots to extend back into the soles of your feet, disengaging from the roots and Mother Earth. You are feeling very relaxed and grounded.

It is now time to leave this meditation. Very gently bring your awareness back to your body. You can give your feet and arms a stretch. When you feel ready you can open your eyes and come back to waking consciousness.
